Join Stanford in Washington for On The Porch at Cedar Hill, a program of art, history, and reflection. Frederick Douglass used his home to share conversation and melodies with guests, neighbors, and passersby. Debates, dreams, and music flowed out of Cedar Hill's open windows and down onto the rolling lawn. This program brings a modern audience to Douglass' home and immerses them in a time when thoughts on slavery, civil liberty, and education were exchanged among his guests. Also featuring musical artists Anamer Castrello, Laree Simon, and Roderick Demmings Jr..
