The German-Australian artist Jörg Schmeisser (1942-2012) was one of the great printmakers of his generation. During a career that spanned five decades, he turned his keen eye to observing the world around him, whether in his own backyard or in the many far-flung places to which he traveled. This selection of twenty-three prints from a Washington private collection reveals his unrivaled technical skill in creating enduring images of both the natural and the man-made world.
